Multi-Generational Home

Our client originally built their family home from scratch many years ago. With changing family dynamics and a need for a refreshed living space, it was time to modernize and extend the property. The project involved creating a multi-generational living environment while transforming the existing home into a stylish and functional modern family space.

Phase 1: Garage Conversion and Extension for the Annex
The first step was to provide a separate living space for the mother, who would move into a newly constructed annex. We converted the existing garage into a practical and comfortable living area, incorporating modern finishes with large vaulted ceilings to ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Phase 2: House Reconfiguration and Open-Plan Extension
Once the annex was completed, we moved on to reconfiguring the existing house. The highlight of this transformation is the stunning open-plan kitchen, dining, and family area, which now serves as the heart of the home.

The result is a spacious, light-filled area that seamlessly combines cooking, dining, and relaxing, making it perfect for family life and entertaining. The modern refurbishment pays homage to the original home’s charm while introducing contemporary touches that enhance the overall aesthetic.
This project successfully created a beautiful, cohesive family home that meets the evolving needs of the household, ensuring comfort and functionality for years to come.
